George Kent Technology Centre
Innovation is at the core of the Group’s manufacturing division with constant research into raw materials that ensure increased product reliability and accuracy to continuous improvements in production processes, automation and adoption of new materials and green technology.
The facility has a covered area of 5.5 acres and is the location of the largest hot brass-forging plant in the region. The state-of-the art facility specialises in the manufacturing of water meters and other non-ferrous products for water-related industries. It provides solutions for some of the world’s largest metering companies as well as other prominent players across various industries.
At the heart of the George Kent Technology Centre is its custom-built Research and Development (R&D) facility which is tasked with driving innovation to ensure the Group’s continued sustainability in the mid to long term.
R&D is a clear competitive edge, ensuring continued innovation to meet the current and future expectations of customers’ and enabling George Kent to always stay one step ahead of the competition. This has resulted in the George Kent brand being consistently synonymous with quality.
Driven by robust growth and subsequent business expansion, the Group relocated its plant from Shah Alam to the George Kent Technology Centre, a 17-acre integrated facility in Puchong, Selangor in January 1997.
